Sucre tiré (Basic Sugar Art Class)
- A 3-day course which there would be an emphasis on the basic knowledge of cooking sugar e.g. ways to protect the humidity, techniques of pulling sugar as well as pratical training on pulling sugar: flowers (rose, lily etc), ribbons, bamboo and ikebana flower showpiece.
- A 2-day course in which we will introduce the basic knowledge of "blowing" sugar to include the making of lobster, swan, snake, airbrush colour etc..
The purpose to include the introduction of "blowing" sugar at the course is to prepare you for the next level of advance learning for sugar works.
Sucre Soufflé - Ikébana Sugar Class
- This course would explain to you the advantage and disadvantage of isomalt. Isomalt would be used to make all showpieces for the entire course.
- During the 5-day course, you are required to complete a minimum of 3 showpieces. Due to the increase of course content and it will be more complicated therefore, the course hours may extend (depending on the progress of each individual)
- Because of the different seasons of the year, the course content may change accordingly
Pièce artistique Sugar Class
The final course will concentrate on the teaching of artistique. (Students must have the required technique in order to complete this course) - Students will be taught of creative work of sugar arts at the final course.
- Proper tools will be provided for students and they will be taught of the latest techniques. Isomalt are used to complete the final work.
- On the last 5 day of the course, students will require to complete a sizable artistic showpiece,the course hours may extend. (depending on the progress of each individual)
- Due to the different seasons of the year, the theme of the course content will change accordingly
All materials used such as tools, machine, colouring, sugar etcwill be provided mt the academy. There will be no additional charge apart from the basic fee and the maximum number of students at each course will only limit to 8 persons.
For your accommodation, there is a hotel near my studio and is next to the Wangsa Maju LRT station. The rate is between RM68 - RM78 for single room per night. If you book through the academy, it will be cheaper. I will also provide free transportation service to and from the LRT station - studio throughout the course.
Note that: There is no fixed date for the commencement of classes. The date of commencement are flexible depending on your schedule and availability. However, I would appreciate if you could let me know 3 weeks in advance for confirmation of the course. For further notice, there will be no classes on weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) for this particular course
